TAYLOR KNUTH ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR OGDEN CITY MAYOR AT MARSHALL WHITE COMMUNITY CENTER

OGDEN, Utah — On January 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., Taylor Knuth (He/Him) announced his candidacy for Mayor of Ogden City, Utah, in front of the Marshall N. White Community Center.

Taylor Knuth is a long-time resident of Ogden City, having moved here in 2011 to attend Weber State University. Over the last 12 years, Taylor has worked on several community projects including the fight to restore the Marshall White Community Center, addressing health disparities in the LatinO/A communities of Ogden during the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, and raising millions of dollars for Ogden organizations working to improve the community.

“Our next mayor needs to know the names of the barbers and bartenders, the police officers and the postal workers, the service members, and the school teachers. Our next mayor needs to center our past to shape our future. And our next mayor needs to be by, of, and for the community - and that’s exactly who I am” said Taylor Knuth, candidate for Ogden City Mayor.

Taylor began his professional career working with United Way of Northern Utah in Community Engagement. Taylor has also worked with many nonprofit organizations throughout the years, including Onstage Ogden, Weber State University, Encircle, Ogden Contemporary Arts, and more. Currently, Taylor is a Deputy Director in the Department of Economic Development for Salt Lake City.
